Leaving it All Behind to Get the Most Out of Life

In 2005, Caleb earned his Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union in New York City. Being accepted to Cooper Union’s selective engineering program and receiving a full scholarship laid a strong foundation for his career trajectory. 

After college, Caleb spent over a decade working for a major oil company in Houston. He held a diverse range of roles such as Economist, Optimization Supervisor, and Planning Supervisor, each role building business strategy and planning skills that would later prove valuable to his own endeavors.

Along the way, he also celebrated several major life events. Caleb got married in 2008, had his first son in 2011 (the same year he earned his MBA from UChicago Booth School), and later had a daughter. Balancing career ambitions with family became a challenge, as working late became the norm, on top of long commute times.

A hip injury in 2015 meant that Caleb was now working remotely for his company until he recovered. This new time at home caused him to reevaluate his path in life, and he completed a move to Gulfport, Mississippi.

Caleb quickly realized how good life could be at home with his family. In Gulfport, he took the entrepreneurial leap by starting a business on Upwork. This platform opened new professional opportunities, but he was starting his entire SEO business from scratch – without knowing the first thing about how to do any of it – all while working remotely at his day job.

Fast-forwarding years later, Caleb was celebrating successes in his career as an SEO, having worked with several notable companies such as SkillShare, Adobe, and Stanley Black+Decker. 

Leveraging his years of corporate experience and entrepreneurial success, Caleb was able to pursue another dream in 2020, when he founded a new company dedicated to coaching consultants to reach the top on Upwork, many following in his footsteps of having made the platform work from him. His strategies have since transformed the careers of over 3,300 students.

Today, Caleb continues to empower professionals to launch or grow successful Upwork businesses utilizing the power of SEO and AI. His comprehensive resources impart the mindsets, skills and techniques to achieve ambitious goals.
